Strange System.StackOverflowException error en C#, aplicaciĆ³n web Asp.Net (1)

Tuve este problema exacto y finalmente lo rastreé hasta el código aspx que presentaba la plantilla para mi DataList. Tuve un error tipográfico en la fila html tag tr "donde dejó una cita al eliminar información de estilo anterior. Una vez que eliminé la cita, el error desapareció.

Este es el error más extraño que he visto y no sé cuál es la causa. En VS2013 tengo una página aspx usando datatables.net y un repetidor. La página se carga bien y se muestra correctamente, luego de unos segundos recibo

" Se produjo una excepción no controlada del tipo ''System.StackOverflowException'' en System.Web.dll "

Lo extraño es que si hago "TOP 76" en mi SQL, no obtengo ese error si hago "TOP 77" o superior y obtengo ese error.

He realizado numerosos reinicios, eliminado y recreado la página con diferentes nombres. Intenté eliminar los datatables.net. Traté de reemplazar citas simples (pensando que podría estar jugando con mi marca). Pero nada parece funcionar.

Es extraño porque tengo el mismo tipo / estilo / código en otras páginas con más y menos datos y todos funcionan bien.

El siguiente paso es reinstalar VS2013 ya que no se me ocurre nada más que probar. Cualquier ayuda sería muy apreciada ya que estoy desconcertado.
