El servidor xampp mysql no está comenzando

Question

Ayuda por favor No puedo iniciar el servidor de base de datos sql en xampp. Esto fue después de actualizar a os x Yosemite. Este es el mensaje de error que recibo para phpmyadmin:

2002 - No existe tal archivo o directorio

El servidor no responde (o el socket del servidor local no está configurado correctamente). La conexión para el usuario de control como se definió en su configuración falló.

Muchas gracias! Aquí está el comando que probé en la terminal (que obtuve de otra persona en desbordamiento de pila que parecía tener un problema similar):

sudo /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/bin/mysql.server start

Para que todos sepan que terminé haciendo una reinstalación nueva de xampp. ¡Ahora funciona bien! Esto fue lo que hice:

• archivos de respaldo y base de datos (si es posible)
• salga de ''manager os x''
• ejecuta el desinstalador
• eliminar la carpeta xampp
• descarga xampp desde el sitio
• Ejecute el instalador para xampp
• ejecutar el programa de seguridad en la terminal
• mueve tus cosas a la carpeta xampp

En general, encontré que xampp (1.8.3-5) es compatible con OS X Yosemite.
