Rutas troncales sin hash?

Estoy usando backbone para un proyecto actual. Me preguntaba si es posible hacer el enrutamiento sin hashes # , como lo hace davis.js.

Debes habilitar pushState

Backbone.history.start({pushState: true})

Editar: Como se señaló en los comentarios, esto solo funcionará para los navegadores compatibles con pushState, y los navegadores que no lo hagan recurrirán al método hash. No hay una forma real de evitar esto, puede habilitar el navegador moderno y retroceder o simplemente usar hashes para todos los navegadores.

Backbone Boilerplate tiene un excelente ayudante que permite pushstate. Lo uso cuando hay ocasiones en que quiero pasar por alto mi enrutador.
