Estoy usando Entity Framework 5 con el enfoque Code First. Necesito leer el valor de retorno de un procedimiento almacenado; Ya estoy leyendo los parámetros de salida y enviando los parámetros de entrada, pero no sé cómo leer el valor de retorno.

En el caso donde el proceso almacenado no tiene un parámetro de salida, hago lo siguiente, haciendo de hecho un Sql que devuelve una declaración de selección;

La solución provista por Daniele no funcionaba para mí, hasta que encontré esta publicación del blog de Diego Vega , que explica que:

Tendrá que leer los resultados completos antes de poder acceder a los valores de los parámetros de salida (...) Así es como funcionan los procedimientos almacenados y no específicos de esta característica EF.

Además, en mi caso, no devolvía una entidad, solo tenía que ejecutar el procedimiento almacenado, por lo que reemplacé el Item con object en _context.Database.SqlQuery<object> .
