Estoy intentando iniciar MySQL usando easyPHP: la respuesta es una ventana de alerta a un archivo de registro. El error principal es <- El complemento ''FEDERATED'' está deshabilitado -> .
A través de la investigación en línea, descubrí que la solución es agregar la opción federada al archivo my.ini . Hice esto, pero todavía no funciona.

El mensaje sobre FEDERATED inhabilitado no es un error. Solo significó que el motor FEDERADO no está ENCENDIDO para su servidor mysql. No se utiliza por defecto. Si no lo necesitas, no te importa este mensaje.
El motor de almacenamiento FEDERATED está disponible a partir de MySQL 5.0.3. Es un motor de almacenamiento que accede a los datos en tablas de bases de datos remotas en lugar de tablas locales.
