Linestring a puntos

Question

Necesito extraer Puntos de Linestring usando SQL Server. Sé que puedo ver coordenadas con geometry.ToString () pero necesito nueva geometría de puntos. ¿Cómo puedo hacerlo?

No sé casi nada sobre el tipo de datos de geometría, pero la documentación dice que obtienes el número de puntos en el objeto usando STNumPoints y luego recuperas puntos individuales usando STPointN .
