No se puede resolver el método ''show(android.support.v4.app.FragmentManager, java.lang.String) (1)
Por alguna razón, cuando intento mostrar un cuadro de diálogo, aparece un error en dialog.show (fm, DIALOG_DATE); diciendo No se puede resolver el método ''show (android.support.v4.app.FragmentManager, java.lang.String)''
¿Por qué no puede resolver el método?

Para resolver esto, si está usando android.app.DialogFragment , entonces use getFragmentManager() :

dialog.show(fm, DIALOG_DATE);

para usar getSupportFragmentManager() , debe extenderse desde: android.support.v4.app.DialogFragment .
